Giant Spiders and Bread

This week folks, was absolutely crazy! Just a ton of things to do and ugh!!! Ok for starters, we helped kill another pig this week, yes it was just as much fun as the first :) Pigs are a ton of work, como muchisimo, blood draining, then hair skinning, body hanging, cutting, cutting and then more cutting! Lots of good times :) But that¨s not all, I also killed chicken by hand all by my self...yes you heard right, beast mode :) it was crazy, I will not describe it for you because it is a lot different to cut something, versus breaking its neck. Other fun animal times we found a giant spider at the church...wow. Just a lot of fun animal times this week! Also I am pretty proud, for the chicken kill I did it in less then 15 seconds, for my first time :) I can only get better. A ton of rain this week, and for Thanksgiving we did not really do anything, because they do not celebrate that here, but we did eat pizza with some members, and that was fun :) looking forward to this next week, hope it goes well for all of you :)
Good luck with the snow....sorry this was not too long, but hey it feels like I am repeating myself, cause I write all this stuff in my journal :)

Long Time No See

Hey,

So yes, I am doing really well this last twos weeks were a trip and a half let me tell you!!! If my companion was not beyond hilarious I would be bald by now, with several ulcers!!! Just crazy times!! So cool things that have happened! We found more Pike in my foot...yes the creepy bug thing! But I am doing really well now, pretty sure it is gone....fingers crossed! We totally played capture the flag, well the ward played while we watched from the side, cause we can not play with them...lame sauce but it was a ton of fun, they really seemed to enjoy it! The other day was the first day of summer!!! Yes I know I am sooooooo excited to live in an oven, while you will have snow, we are living it up!!! And now I totally have run out of time! Opps! Lame sauce! But hey I hope you all have a great week, and just hang in there!!!! Enjoy your thanksgiving...not sure what we will be doing!! but hey!!! Be grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love ya,

Connect Four and Changes

Hey guys,

So I am sure all of you are wondering how changes went... Well I am pleased to tell you that I am still in Santani with the wonderful Hermana Mendoza!!! I am so excited!!! Down-side we lost Elder Bridge with the change, but Elder Pariona is training, so we received a newbie this week, which was interesting because I was in those same shoes four changes ago... time flies.

Stuff for this week, my companion and I both had colds.... word to the wise, if you have the choice to be sick, or not, never choose to be sick it is the worst!!! Somehow, in the mission it is 10X harder, I kept waking up the other night, because I could not breath, my comp, was really worried about me. But hey, I am doing much better now!!! I bought connect four, checkers and chess this past week, and it has been a blast, my companion and the ward loved connect four, which is funny to see. While it is a game I grew up with, lots of people here have never played!!! My companion has gotten really good at it,and If I lose more than two time in a row, she gets really mad and tells me to actually try, like I am purposefully letting her win, it is pretty funny :)

I am not sure what exactly this is...

Taina and her comp REALLY like this soda

I am slowly losing my mind, the other day I was starting a prayer and I started with ¨nuestro propósito es¨instead of nuestro padre Celestial¨( our purpose is.. versus our Heavenly Father ) My companion got a pretty good laugh out of that. Other good times, the other day I found peake in my foot, and my beast of a companion Hermana Mendoza took it out like a pro (because she is from Paraguay) with a needle, and tweezers...that was a lot of fun (peake is a little bug that likes to live in people and tries to make its way to your stomach, but they make it so you itch like crazy, also if kept too long it will lay eggs..fun, right).
TAINA'S DISTRICT

Oh today, we found a soda that we love, it is from Brazil and taste really good...yup not much more to say about that...sorry. Looking forward to this week.... it will be good, I hope you are all well!!! Keep writing love you guys!

Also for those who are wondering about the fire I mentioned last week..it was an accident. We were using the oven at a members house, and when I tried to turn off the oven I turned on the hot plate- stove top thingie...which led to the cloth she had over her stove top to catch fire...it was an adventure!

Also, Also a great quote from my amazing Brother!!!

Fire Guy

Family, friends, Romans, Country-men,

I hope you all had a wonderful week, this week for me was bonkers!!! For starters I am officially half way to twenty, how in the world that happened I have no idea, but look out, in six months I will have twenty years, our family is soooooo old! (not really but still, just a little big).

Anyhow, we had a baptism this week! Yes I know I said the area is hard, and not much is happening, and to prove this, the baptism was only to replace lost records but we were over the moon!!!!! Other stuff, my memory card for my camera died...yes it was very tragic, but he has now been replaced (life's hard), so no pictures this week, I have to take a bunch for next week.

Speaking of next week, we find out about changes Tuesday, so the next time we talk I will either, not have changes, have a new companion, or have a new area...so that is always exciting!!

Other stuff, I accidentally set a doilie towel thing on fire at the house of a member...she took it like a champ, but I felt so bad!!!! It was on accident, but know I have become fire guy...opps.

Also sometimes, I will just say stuff in English, like I´m sorry, or never mind: for example, and now all the members say it every time I walk into a room, it is great :) Oh and Happy belated Halloween, hope that was cool for you guys, they do not celebrate that here, but it was still a good day! It is crazy that it is already November! Enjoy the last two months of the year 2015!!!!! Love you guys, have a great week!

Quote that I liked this week:

And the Rains Came Down...

Ok,  funny story, the place where we do our emailing, it a lovely place and when it rains it is really hard to keep the internet up, also the roof has a ton of holes, so there is a puddle of water slowly making its way to the wires that are on the ground, the worker, keeps checking for the water to get close, it is awesome, and only decided to rain , rain today- we have had a pretty heavy down pour....I love it!!!! This past week was quite wonderful, with today being the exception we had a really hot humid week.. which was fun, but really hard, the sun is really strong here- my companion likes to say, that while the sun shines everywhere it really likes to give Paraguay hugs, and that why it is so hot here. She is amazing, this change has been wonderful, even thought the area is really hard, we are really trying to make the best of what we have. But things that happened this week, well last week, we bought jerseys for Santani , they are really cool, I was stoked because it was my first!!! Yea! Anyhow we had zone conference this week, and while we usually have it in Santani, this time we went to Santa Rosa, which is a 2.5 hour bus ride, and once we got there, while the conference was wonderful we all had a pretty hard time paying attention, because the church in Santa Rosa is a rented space that does not have AC.... and yes it was rather interesting, but zone conferences are the best I really do love being the only Hermanas in our zone, it is really cool :) Other stuff that happened , we moved our dinner table in our room yesterday to eat lunch, cause that room has AC, that was fun :) Today was the birthday of our district leader and we did some stuff for his birthday, which included playing soccer in the rain...and I forgot my tennis shoes at the house, so I played in socks..yes mom I know, not the best Ideas, but it was a ton of fun. Looking forward to this week, this is the last full week in the change, and next Monday is the last p-day in the change, who knows what will happen? But I am excited, not for changes, because my companion is the bomb, but it will be good! A scripture that I love d this week, Romans 8: 31 (last part), 35, 37-39 have a great week!!!
